About Us

Trinity Church Day School, educating approximately 100 students each year, emphasizes spiritual, social, emotional, intellectual and physical development and values each child as a unique individual.

Our Story

Trinity Church Day School has a long history of providing a high-quality early childhood education for the children in the Glen Arm community. The school began as a playgroup for the children in this area over fifty years ago. Trinity school officially opened its door as a Day School in 1957. Since then Trinity’s reputation as a highly respected, quality school has remained a constant.

The school continues to maintain its reputation as one of the premier preschools in the community. As we continue to attract an ever increasing number of families and due in part to new regulations from the Office of Child Care, the school was proud to announce the opening of a new wing to our building in November of 2009. The new addition houses four new classrooms and a large, bright multi-purpose room.

Our Staff

The Day School has an experienced, highly qualified staff. All of our classroom teachers have a minimum of a four year college degree with an emphasis on education. Teachers participate in the Maryland State Department of Education Credentialing Program and attend professional development workshops throughout the school year.

Helping Your Child Explore, Grow, & Learn

We have music and movement specialists that work with the children on a weekly basis.

Our Extended Day staff meets all the requirements of the Office of Child Care.

Our entire staff is required to have a background check and the majority of the staff has CPR and First Aid training.

What Our Families are Saying

We couldn’t love TCDS more! It checks all of the boxes and has become like a second home to our family. Trinity has such a loving and supportive environment with incredible staff and teachers. Both of our daughters have learned so much and have made such wonderful friends along the way. We will truly miss this special place and will forever hold our time here in our hearts ❤️.

- Maureen & Ryan Evans

We LOVE Trinity Church Day School! The staff at TCDS are Angels, just like the children who attend! The rigorous academic curriculum taught within a Christian atmosphere creates kind, loving, motivated, lifelong learners. The extended care program offered is perfect for our working family. We couldn’t be more thankful and blessed to be part of the caring and compassionate TCDS family.

-Kristen and Jake Deford

Trinity Church Day School means that there is no doubt my son will be prepared for kindergarten and he will have many kind and loving friends in school. My 2 younger sons love Trinity so much, that my oldest son is upset that he did not go to Trinity! I could not be happier with the knowledge, kindness and compassion my children learned at Trinity.

– Shannon Menapace

We feel very fortunate that Trinity has the aftercare program available as an option to parents. To say that our children, Victor John and Lucy, love staying for aftercare is an understatement. There have been numerous times when we have come to pick them up earlier than they have liked and they have left in tears! Victor John has made so many amazing friends and loves all that aftercare offers – the playtime, the craft projects, the special theme days and the teachers. Lucy has been so nurtured and cared for this year that even at such a young age she loves staying. We feel very blessed that our children have had this experience.

– Kara and Vic Minoglio

I think we can all pretty much agree that our children are the most important things in our lives.  So leaving your kid somewhere with people you barely know can be a tough thing to do.  But the whole TCDS environment is so welcoming, safe, and professional, that you not only feel that it’s ok to leave your kid there for 3 or more hours but that you actually desire to have your child there because of the enormous positive impact that the school has on them.
The teachers and staff are like family, and the teachers in particular are like magicians with the kids.  It’s really wonderful to see how much our child loves his teachers and loves going to school.  It’s an experience that we believe is setting him up for success for the rest of his life, both intellectually and socially.
